How does this work?
In short, we take past campaign results and compare them to the campaign mail piece you upload for review to provide insights and suggestions on how to improve your current campaign mail piece to lift the response by eliminating certain variables.
Where did you get these past campaign results?

We have delivered omnichannel marketing campaigns at DirectMail2.0 since 2016. We have executed and delivered over 80,000 campaigns to almost 1.5 billion recipients. For most of the campaigns we have the actual mail piece, the mail entry and delivery data, and actual results of how many and who converted or responded by going to the websites, call tracking phone numbers, inbound SMS, scanned a QR code, clicked on ad links, Informed Delivery and other metrics. We call these confirmed campaign actions, ATTRIBUTION.

With years of ATTRIBUTION results, we have established a baseline in terms of how many prospects have engaged with these campaigns for over 150 different industries. This provides a starting point to correlate your proposed campaign to our past database of campaigns.

I’m not running an omnichannel campaign so how will these results help me?

Great question! Omnichannel allows us to track actual engagements and one to one attribution of the campaign. So yes, an omnichannel campaign will have a higher baseline than a standalone traditional direct mail only campaign. The USPS standard projected results of mail alone usually fall in a range of .025 – 1%.

Mathematically we can recast our results by simply subtracting the omnichannel lift from the results to provide you more accurate projections. Because all our omnichannel campaigns are 95%, the same methodology the lift is considered a constant. The changes in the models are the industry, the creative, the targeting, quantity and timing. Being that the omnichannel campaign is a constant and doesn’t change from campaign to campaign, the other changes are more significant from campaign to campaign. Those changes specifically being the creative piece itself, the audience, the industry and the timing or seasonality of the campaign.

Do these recommendations work?

Mathematically these recommendations have lifted similar campaigns to similar audiences more times than not. That being said, past results are not guarantees of future success.

What you are accomplishing by using DM20.ai is eliminating variables, some of the risk and unknowns, and necessity to test certain elements of your campaign based on the history of 1000s of campaigns and over a billion pieces of mail that tried to accomplish a similar thing. Some campaigns did better than others. We are simply reporting the elements in the campaigns that got more engagement and consistently lifted those campaigns above the baseline.

It’s been said with enough data about any subject you can predict almost anything before it happens. DM20.ai has access to more direct mail data and a broad range of results than anyone else in the industry.

How does pricing work?
You buy a monthly/annual subscription for credits. Credits buy tests. A test is one model on a single piece of creative (the intended mail piece). The more credits per month you commit to the lower the cost of each credit. We currently offer 3 subscriptions. See Pricing Plans for details.
Do you have a free trial?
Yes, we do. However, you will only get the benchmark rating on your proposed campaign without any recommendations. We only allow one of those per month with a free trial account as there is even some value in the mail piece benchmarking.
What if I want to just try it once and see?
We will sell one test credit for $299 if you would like to see the full value of our platform without a recurring expense.
If I’ve tried it a couple times and received my recommendations, I basically know what the recommendations are and what the platform will tell me, so why sign up for a year or more?

Our platform is true machine learning. New campaigns update the models daily, weekly, monthly and the modeling can change as times change. Different designs, different targeting, different industries will have different results. By maintaining a license over time, the modeling will improve and so will the data and recommendations. This is not a “set it and forget it” data platform.

Our data scientists will find new ways to add additional parameters from old data and new data that will help to improve the models. We will ask for feedback from past model recipients to determine what recommendations improved their campaigns and which didn’t. All this additional training will only make DM20.ai better and more accurate over time and in turn, the results and response to your direct mail campaigns.

Isn’t this data private, how can you share the past campaign data?
There is NO PII (personally identifiable information) shared or used in any of the models or results. The information used is specifically at zip code and industry level. Specific individuals, companies, clients and mailers are never named or collected in any reporting. All the data is cohorted into buckets of zip codes and industries to provide relevance.
What about the data I am uploading, how is it being kept private?
Your data is not shared with anyone outside of the company. The only thing used is the email to keep in touch with you. We will only use your feedback on tests to improve the modeling for you and future users. Your specific feedback, campaign data and targets are not shared in any circumstance. You will not be contacted by vendors or competitors to sell you something via the submission of your data.
